Entrepreneurs, Are you Feeling Unappreciated?
Entrepreneurs have grit and determination. You need these two traits to be an entrepreneur.
A lot of us who start out work alone and feel isolated and the only thing that keeps us going is our dreams of being successful.
It’s not easy because you get a lot of blowback from your family and friends.
This leads to a feeling of being unappreciated. Of course how can people appreciate you if they don’t know what you’re doing.
If your family isn’t interested then you’re never going to get that appreciation that you are looking for.
People work for corporations and some give appreciations but most don’t so people aren’t really used to this concept from their workplaces.
They go to their jobs Monday thru Friday and never get any recognition so you can’t expect them to give any appreciation to a family member who is try to
break out of that mold, we are sort of trained that way. I am not giving excuses, just a different perspective.
In spite of all these we plow thru all of the negatives from people around us because we believe in ourselves. We are in essence in our Own Little World.
Now looking at it from the other end, this can lead to problems also 🙂
What I mean is being stubborn and shutting the door to good reasoning will hurt us also. We should always keep the doors open to suggestions from
others around us including our loved ones is the wise thing to do.
Abe and I were very lucky to have each other to bounce off of. We didn’t have any family around. Maybe at that time that was a blessing.
Bless the entrepreneurs who have the backing of their family and some friends. They are lucky.
But now there are more people coming online and trying to start their own business or do networking. People are having a change to their mindsets.
It’s still a 50% chance however that you will succeed. That’s where the grit and determination comes in. The dream also has to be strong to sustain
the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur.
